 is a town in the Nuwara Eliya District of Central Province, Sri Lanka governed by the Hatton-Dickoya Urban Council. It is approximately 83 kilometres (52 mi) southeast of Colombo and 44 km (27 mi) south of Kandy and is situated at an elevation of 1,271 m (4,170 ft) above sea level.
Whilst Hatton serves as a gateway to Adam's Peak (Sri Pada) and Sinharaja Forest Reserve, it is better known for its Ceylon tea plantations and industry.
In 2008 part of the Hatton town, including religious places, was gazetted as a Religious Zone by the Government of Sri Lanka

*  Everything! Where do I start from?... We have been in the room, with an extremely beautiful view on the river valley and the waterfalls surrounded by spectacular big bamboo canes and other magnificent plants. The sound of the waterfall will accompaign you through your stay and will fill your day and nights with an rare atmosphere of peace and serenity... really enjoyable! The room, the toilet, the mosquito net, all were very neat and clean. They welcomed us with a hot drink and the cooking skills in the kitchen are remarkable... amazing food, fresh tasty and at reasonable price! Ravi, the owner, is a very nice, helpful and friendly person, that will do his best to understand your needs and make your staying more pleasent. Any doubt or difficulties you have don't esitate to ask him, his wife and his daughter are great collaborator of him and will help you willingly. You can go around visiting the many beatiful places nearby, tea plantations, the world's biggest tea centre "Tea Castle", tea factory, waterfalls and more! ... Or if you feel you just want to relax you can just go down to the river right there at few steps from your room. I suggest this place and looking forward to go back!

Ravi is a friendly and really good man, we are so appritiate that after we lost money in a train he helped us so much!!! Thank you! *  The family were amazing and so accomodating! The tree house style house was just magical. We loved falling asleep to the sound of the roaring river below us
