Overview
Kithul House is an elegant, colonial style extended family home surrounded by lush greenery and beautiful mountain views offering a unique hideaway where comfort & elegance, homliness & professionalism exist effortlessly side-by-side. Originally built in the 1800s, this house has undergone extensive renovations to meet the expectations of discerning guests without sacrificing its charm and originality.
Spacious and inviting, all rooms are tastefully furnished in warm brown tones with traditional flooring and natural wooden furniture which creates classically styled, authentic accommodation with retains the feel of a traditional Sri Lankan home.
The location of the house is just 10 minutes drive from the small town called Kithulgala which is an important destination for adventure and eco tourism in Sri lanka.The climate here is rated as one of the best in the country.

Accommodation
5 double rooms and one family room (Accommodation for 2 – 15 guests)
In addition to the five double rooms we have one family room which can accommodate four to five people. 2 King size rooms are very comfortable for 2 but can accommodate 3.All other rooms accommodate a maximum of two people. In addition drivers' quarters are also there seperately. Each spacious bedrooms has its own unique character derived from authentic and honest restoration and restored antique furniture. Additionally all rooms have en-suite bathrooms comprising of toilet, wash basin and hot shower.
Rooms share the use of various common areas such as well maintained private gardens, restaurant and the open verandah which faces unspoilt lush greenery and stunning mountain views. Why not make yourself at home, choose a book from the library and relax in the wooden chairs are there for reading or quiet relaxation?
Restaurant
Food is not an issue at Kithul House. You can decide to have your food in your room or visit the adjoining restaraunt. The restaurant, run too Kithul House is popular for great food with travellers who pass along the highway. There are plenty of food varieties available with traditional Sri Lankan, Western and Chinese menus and number of snacks and pastries. Alternatively your own chef is available at an additional cost.
Have a bath with nature - in a natural rock pool ….
Imagine crystal clear water streams that originate from waterfalls, cascading over boulders and rocks to create natural rock pools. Just 50m from the house, nestled amongst lush vegetation and lined with ferns and wild flowers is just this - your own private oya (Rambukpasoya) for you to bathe and dip in.
