Located in Koswatte, Nawala, just a 2 minute walk from the Koswatte junction, but totally away from the hustle-bustle of town life.
Bangalawa is a tastefully designed comfortable eco-friendly home that overlooks a beautiful lawn and manicured gardens, which has foliage, flowers and variety of fruit trees such as mango, avocado, anoda, billing, bread fruit etc. However, the red sandalwood tree stands tall out of all. Two age old coconut oil extractors made out of granite (sekku) adorn the garden.
It has three rooms (air-conditioned) and three bathrooms all elegantly designed with hot and cold water. The sitting room has an indoor pond and our guests have found this area to be the ideal spot to sip a beer/wine, -perfect way to unwind at the end of a busy day. Or you might like to enjoy your morning coffee seated on the deck listening to the sound of the birds or watching our pet tortoise taking a stroll round the garden at its own cool pace.
Timber doors , windows , locks and latches and flooring date back to more than 100 years. It is fully furnished and some of the furniture too is more than 100 years old. Though antiques have been used extensively, Bangalawa is equipped with all modern amenities and has kitchen facilities for self catering; wireless internet, cable TV with more than 50 channels that include CNN, Discovery, 24 hour sports.
Secure vehicle parking is also available. Air port pick ups & drops too could be arranged if needed. Also home cooked food can be made available on request.
